Brigantine is conveniently located just minutes from
Atlantic City, Ventnor and Margate.
When you cross the bridge into Brigantine Island, you will instantly notice the difference from other Shore communities. Driving over the bridge, is like taking a step back in time. You'll feel a sense of relaxation because Brigantine has a small-town charm, it's not crowded and built-up with high-rises everywhere. Even the beaches at Brigantine are like no other at the Jersey Shore. The sand is white and fine and the beaches are cleaned daily. Besides swimming and sunbathing, there are beaches on Brigantine devoted to fishing, surfing, kite flying, jet skiing, kayaking, and catamaran use. For boat owners or those who want to rent, Brigantine has marinas for all your needs or watercraft rentals.
There are no honky-tonk board walks here, but there is plenty to do and something for everyone.... At the 42nd Street Recreation Complex a few blocks from the condo, there are bocce, tennis, and basketball courts, and for teens, a skateboard park. When the little ones want a change of pace, there's Shark Park, a community-built playground a short car ride away. If golf is your game, play a few rounds at the Brigantine 18-hole public golf course. Book your tee time online: http://www.brigantinegolf.com
There are bike lanes on all the main roads for safe, relaxed biking. A short stroll from the condo you'll find everything you need -- restaurants, video store, ice cream shop, hardware store, beach supply shop, ATM machine, grocery store, and 7-11.
A summer concert series fills the air with music on Wednesday evenings during July and August. At the northern end of the island is a sea wall next to an extensive nature preserve. Go there to watch the dolphins play in the ocean. To learn more about these amazing creatures, visit the Marine Mammal Stranding Center and Sea Life Educational Center & Museum (where the admission is free and children are welcome!) The center sponsors boat cruises for whale and dolphin watching, a "Tide Pool" underwater observation tank, and a hands-on whale anatomy display: http://www.marinemammalstrandingcenter.org/

And if you really want the boardwalk experience, Atlantic City (with it's nightlife, headliner shows, and casinos, too!) is a five minute drive just back over the bridge. There are also daily sightseeing cruises out of Atlantic City: including Dolphin Watch, Moonlight Dance Party, Happy Hour, and Morning Skyline.
